JANUARY 7TH, 2016 - ANNOUNCING DEBUT ALBUM "EVERYTHING AT ONCE"
• Everything At Once, Her Magic Wand's debut album, will be out February 19th digitally, on CD, and on limited translucent blue vinyl. Mixed by Stephane "Alf" Briat (Air, Phoenix, Sebastien Tellier) and mastered by Chab (Daft Punk, Etienne Daho), it will touch on themes such as alienation, synesthesia, death, the passing of time and the fading of souvenirs, and it will be infused with optimism, hope, and 'feel-good melancholy.' • Le premier album de Her Magic Wand, intitulé Everything At Once, sortira le 19 février en digital, CD, et en édition limitée sur vinyle bleu translucide. Mixé par Stephane "Alf" Briat (Air, Phoenix, Sebastien Tellier) et masterisé par Chab (Daft Punk, Etienne Daho), il y sera question d'aliénation, de synesthésie, de la mort, du temps qui passe et de souvenirs qui s'effacent, le tout emprunt d'une douce mélancolie, encourageante et réconfortante, toujours optimiste. SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2015 - ANNOUNCING "BLOSSOM EP" RELEASE
• Blossom EP will be out September 18th, available digitally and as a limited translucent purple 10" vinyl. It will include "Everything At Once" and "Draw A Line", two singles from our debut album out January 29th, 2016. It will also feature a remix by Jason Lytle of Grandaddy, and the song "Love Letters", an exclusive b-side inspired by A. R. Gurney's play of the same name, which features two characters Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III sitting side by side reading aloud the letters exchanged over a lifetime, discussing their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats.

Il inclura "Everything At Once" et "Draw A Line" - deux singles tirés du premier album à paraître le 29 janvier 2016. On y trouvera également un remix inédit de Jason Lytle de Grandaddy, et le b-side exclusif "Love Letters", inspiré par la pièce de théâtre du même nom signé A. R. Gurney, où les deux personnages Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III sont assis côte à côte et lisent à voix haute les lettres échangées au cours de leur vie, discutant de leurs espoirs et ambitions, de leurs rêves et déceptions, de leurs victoires et de leurs défaites.
NOVEMBER 17TH, 2014 - FIRST SINGLE "EVERYTHING AT ONCE"
• The theme of the song is synesthesia, a neurological phenomenon in which letters or music are perceived as inherently colored. There has been a lot of art dealing with this phenomenon, and the song mentions 3 references to actual works: the poem "Vowels" by Arthur Rimbaud, the experimental theater piece "Yellow Sound" by Wassily Kandinsky and the series of paintings called "Music - Pink and Blue" by Georgia O'Keeffe. Some studies tend to show that most newborns experience the phenomenon in the first instant of their lives. Senses and perceptions are saturated by the outside world, « perfumes, colors, tones answer each other » as Charles Baudelaire wrote in the poem "Correspondences". It's violent, blinding, loud, but at the same time soft and beautiful... Everything at once.
• Le thème de ce morceau est la synesthésie, un phénomène neurologique par lequel plusieurs sens sont associés et où les lettres et les sons peuvent paraître colorés. Beaucoup d'œuvres renvoient au phénomène, et ce morceau fait référence à trois d'entre elles : le poème "Voyelles" d’Arthur Rimbaud, la pièce musicale "The Yellow Sound" de Wassily Kandinsky et la série de tableaux intitulée "Music - Pink and Blue" de Georgia O'Keeffe. Des études tendraient à démontrer que la plupart des nouveaux-nés font l’expérience de ce phénomène dans les premiers instants de leur vie. Les sens et les perceptions sont saturés par le monde extérieur, « les parfums, les couleurs et les sons se répondent » comme l’écrit Charles Baudelaire dans son poème "Correspondences". C'est violent, aveuglant, bruyant, mais en même temps doux et beau... Everything at once.
